All you need to know!
Stop researching, I did it for you. First off, for those of you concerned, there are NO manufacturers that will guarantee their stands to be safe for a nitrocellulose finish, or any other finish! No matter what you hear, or read online, there will always be a disclaimer in the box with your new stand. (Yes, even K&M.) I have been pick'in at the guitar since I was 10 years old.… read more I am now pushing 70, and that's a lot of guitar stands. I've had them all. As soon as you pull a K&M product out of the box you will know you made the right choice. Quality that will last a lifetime. That being said, I am one of those that believes a guitar should be in your hands or in its' case. Accidents can happen with any stand! I use my stand in the bedroom in my "wife designated" practice corner. When I need a break, this stand is perfect. When I am done for the day, my axe goes back in the case. For those of you who gig or play on a crowded stage, I would look to another style K&M stand that would support the neck more. Bottom line...If you are playing a piece of firewood that you don't care about, the go ahead and spend $12 bucks. But if you love your instrument as much as I love mine, then pay up for the piece of mind. you will be glad you did!
Works for Les Paul electric guitars too!!!!
great stands...the electric and acoustic K&M guitar stands... i have both electric & acoustic, but keep one of my LP 50's on this acoustic stand to differentiate between2 guitars that look exactly alike....
K&M Guitar Stand
Nice solid and secure stand . Should last a very long time .
Exactly what I needed. A small, very sturdy stand
After purchasing and destroying a lot of cheap gear, I have become a big fan of K&M. Their stuff is solid and can take a beating. This stand is no exception. Folds flat for easy storage, solidly built, and I expect will last a lifetime. For buskers, please note id does weigh a few pounds - so if you are looking for something light weight this might not be perfect for your… read more situation. But it's sturdy and will protect your guitar from being bumped or blown over outside. Yes, it's pricey - but in my opinion it's worth it. The last time my guitar got knocked off an outdoor stage on a windy day, it cost me $175 to repair the guitar. That would not have happened with this stand.
Just what I needed for my dreadnoughts.
Simple in design, sturdily built, keeps a low profile when in use, and definitely worth the price overall. I like that the padded material doesn't mar/damage the finish on the guitar body (UNLESS it's nitrocellulose-based, might want to seek out another stand otherwise). Can also adjust it to accommodate various body shapes with an easy-to-use push button/lock system. Couldn't be… read more happier with the one I got from Sweetwater! ;-)
