Five stars for good reason!
First off thank you Ian Lemberg for your patience, support and a great deal. The best deal on my price matching quest and was delivered at my door in like 3 days. These speakers deliver a great Vive that makes you keep wanting to play. I have a jvm 410hjs and was playing through 1960a 1960b cabinets full-stack. I decided to try something different and buy another stack put under… read more my Triple X head. When I played them through the jvm it was all over. These are the new number one speakers. Sound was perfect and when I dialed it in to the speaker's even better. That and Ian's service is the reason for the review. They sound great and not even broken in yet. They're not v30s they are Marshall Vintage. I know the v30s very welland for my ears these are better for me. A hard decision between the ax/ BX or the aHW/bhw I'm very happy with my decision now with the av and the bv. For me The Others May put you in the slot of 60s 70s the other ones probably new rock but these speakers will cover it all and very well with great tone. I hope this helps somebody because its real. Rock on from Florida!
Best Marshall Cab
From the moment I fired up my JVM410, which up until I got this cab I was running through an Orange 2x12 cab, I was beside myself. I cannot believe the sheer power, clarity and range of sound coming out of this cabinet. IMO this is the perfect all around cab: crystal clear cleans that are bright with chimey highs, tons of low end without mud, and just sheer face-melting power on… read more the gain channels on my JVM. I just can't believe I own this cab; it sounds like my dreams =D
Will the real speaker please stand up????
First of all, this cabinet was originally advertised as having Celestion vintage 30 speakers which is why I was so excited to have ordered this cab. While anxiously waiting for the delivery, I found out through my own research that this cabinet doesn't/never had vintage 30 speakers, they're actually marshall/celestion vintage G12 speakers! Totally different speaker/tone!So I notified… read more Sweetwater.... Talk about opening up a can of worms!!!!! I won't bore you with all the dirty details, but after a dozen or so back and forth phone calls, shipping back to Sweetwater the not as advertised cabinet, I received another 4X12 slanted cabinet along with celestion vintage 30 speakers, which I installed myself. They sound absolutely phenomenal!Yeah, it was somewhat of a hassle of having to deal with the confusion and inconvenience, but the bottom line is I finally having the Marshall cab of my dreams! Also a big thanks to Justin Dunbar and Chuck Surack, who personally got involved to resolve this whole mess of a situation!!!! Great customer service!!!!!
Amazing Sound
I'm a little hesitant to write a review on this cab, not because of the cab itself, but because there are so many variables involved and everything is subjective...With that said at the outset, the sound is amazing that it can deliver. I have two different Marshall heads I have played though this cab and both sound great. The first, which is my "practice amp" is a DSL15, set on… read more the 7W setting. The second, my "gig amp" is a 100W JCM2000 DSL. I am playing both of them through a Line 6 XT Live pedal board. Primary guitars are Ibanez RG570 and Jaskson SL1 Soloist, both with modified Seymour Duncan pickups. The DSL15 allows me to get great Marshall sound at low volumes, so my neighbors don't call the Homeowners Assn...The JCM2000 will peel the paint on the walls. The POD XT can deliver any sound I need, and all of it comes through amazing in this cab.
Best Cabinet to Accompany a JVM410H Amp
When I first purchased this half stack, it originally came with the 1960A cabinet and since this was being purchased for my son, who is a pro touring musician, I wanted to make sure that there wasn't a major difference between what was offered and what I ended up purchasing. Well apparently there's a huge difference when you specialize in a particular genre of music so, I had to… read more scramble to get it changed before the order shipped. Sweetwater is a great company to work with and my son is thrilled with his new half stack. I know nothing about these things but, both the amp and cabinet are very pretty compared to what this is replacing and the sound is amazing. I'm sure that both you and your mom will be quite pleased with this lol.
