I purchased this specific strap for a guitar I have that I let visiting guitarist to use if they didn't bring theirs. Several years ago, I purchases a 3" padded polylock strap to use with my basses. I wanted a locking system that I could use on any of my basses without having a complex system or to install hardware on each bass. This was the best option. Because of the wide width… read more and padding, my basses felt light as a feather. Since then, I have purchased several 2" straps for my guitarist friends as gifts. They all love them and swear by them now.
