Rugged Gig Bag
I just received the es335 style case for my Epiphone Century 1966. I am very pleased with how rugged this case is built. It fits my guitar perfectly and the Velcro straps hold the neck securely. The carry handle is comfortable and the zippers are smooth. This is not a hard case and it should be treated with respect for what it is. So here is my only issue. I would pay an extra ten… read more bucks for an inside compartment like you find in a hard case to store a tuner, capo and picks. But that is definitely not a deal breaker or I would have given it four stars instead of five. This is not only a great deal price wise but a quality product you can feel comfortable storing your guitar.
Fantastic ---more case than bag!
I own an Epiphone Sheraton II, and I purchased a Firefly 338 as well, recently. Of course this fits my Epi perfectly. And overwell, in fact. With a bit of a soft cotton towel carefully placed in the bottom it fits my 338, which is a tad smaller, as well. The 338 is one fingers width smaller when in the case...you can run your finger all around the guitar.. put in the towel and it… read more fits from bottom to the mouse ears. nice! The case... you can kick this. sides top or back. it's got some very stiff reinforcement in there. Someone suggested thin wood. I thought more like the plastic material you get in bacon.. sandwiched inbetween the outer layers and the padded interior. Whatever it is, it's not connected, but sort of inserted. This is very much...barring some accident of particularly puncturing or crushing example..(BAD)..you have great insulation, great protection against damage. And a great looking case. You can leave your headstock tuner on while it's in the case. The neck is fastened securely by velcro strips.Nice little pocket for your junk inside.Plenty of outer storage.Great handles and straps.Dual zippers...seem very solid. NOTE the zippers travel all around the case to the same stopping point. Consequently you can just ZIP! quick.. you have to take one extra beat around the sharp corners. Zippers need love, too.Yeah, to $ -or so- you can have a decent hard case, so why settle for a bag.Well, I wanted more protection than a sack, you know? And for as little $ as possible. As far as I'm concerned, I got a hard case. What will damage the guitar in this case?If your amp fell on it.Leave it in the sun or cold for a couple of months. If your Gramma lost it and stabbed it twenty times with her knitting needles which she just sharpened up on poor dead Grampas grinder. My friends brand new gibson les paul custom slid off the top of the gear in the trailer on the way to a gig.He was following about fifteen minutes behind. At the first stop light he saw his guitar laying in the middle of the intersection.they had forgotten to lock the trailer, stopped, pulled away making the guitar slide out.Not a thing wrong with it.Later that night, the roadie forgot to lock his case, and my friend picked it up.. allowing the guitar to fall out and slip down the stairs. (the dang thing survived with minor dings!)Well, the amount of doo doo in his pants that gig was remarkable on it's own. This case would survive and the guitar as well in the trailer situation.I don't think you can forget to latch it.. no latches.I hope you were entertained in discovering this is one hell of a case. thanks epi and sweetwater.
Epiphone Epilite 335 style case
Wow, what a surprise, what a great case and a great price, and free shipping! I wasn't expecting such good quality. I expected a somewhat ridged foam structured case, but when I opened it up and found wood frame in the sides I was impressed. I wouldn't use it for checked baggage, but it is certainly great for everyday use and storage. So impressed, I turned around and bought… read more one for my dreadnought. I bought this for my Firefly 338 guitar, not wanting to pay for a hard shell case costing almost as much as the guitar. Also sales engineer, Kenny Plisco was very helpful. Highly recommend these cases, fit and quality is great.
Perfect case for an Epiphone Swingster.
Last January, my husband purchased an Epiphone Swingster from Sweetwater. He enjoys playing the new guitar. He was watching some videos on YouTube when he noticed that a guitar player who had a similar guitar kept it in an Epiphone 335 EpiLite case. We checked to see if Sweetwater carried this type of case. They did but they were all out. Our sales engineer, Tim Holsinger, notified… read more us when they were in stock and we purchased one. It is the perfect case for an Epiphone Swingster. The case is sturdy, but it is also light. The top of the case is soft enough so that it does not damage the tremelo bar. Epiphone has added straps to the guitar case so that it can be carried like a backpack, thereby freeing both hands to carry other musical equipment. My husband is looking forward to taking his guitar out to the park or perhaps there will be an open mike session in our area this summer.
Sturdy well-made case
This is a surprisingly sturdy well fitting case. Despite its appearance of being a soft case, I think this would provide al the protection the average non-touring guitarist will need. It's got a rigid inner case under the fabric, has a soft lining with padding, the guitar fits tightly, and there is a strap to secure the neck. Plus the front pocket is large enough to fit whatever… read more accessories you may need. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase
