Simple Effective Reliable Patch Bay
I have now used 2 of these. On my large and small pedal boards and they're great! So simple, small, and effective. I'm not using a temple pedal board, although I may in the future. This is initially designed to integrate with Temple Pedal Boards. But since I often build my own boards from scratch, I'm building a custom install using these. I build a custom wood block to attach… read more them, tucked under the board. It's easy to use labels or colors to designate my 4cm layout. I can show up to a gig and be plugged up ready to go in about 3 minutes, soup to nuts. That's placing the amp, cab, board and running my cable loom to the board. And that includes a talkbox configuration. So If you have a temple board, or your own custom board consider using one of these. The only draw-back would be if you need your patch bay to have a built-in buffer and then your should get the higher end version of this or maybe a Friedman patch bay.
Temple Audio Jack Patch Module ("Works for Me")
I was going to make my own module (lots of YouTube videos) but after pricing out the components to make one the Temple Audio module wasn't that much more, and it is custom made for the TempleBoard so I didn't have to worry about where to put it. I also considered making buffered module but I use all Boss pedals which are buffered. Apparently one of the sources of noise for some… read more is the guitar input jack on modules. Some YouTubers recommend using metal guitar input jacks on modules (instead of plastic) for grounding reasons. I bought a metal jack to have on hand just in case but I'm getting just a very little "hiss" from my amp but I determined it wasn't from the module and not enough to redo the board. It's definitely cheaper to make your own if you have the skills and can find the components (eight jacks and a small metal box )at a reasonable price and have the skills. I did make my own patch cables. Very pleased with my purchase. As the saying goes, "works for me". I even have room for two more pedals. If you're not sure consult your Sweetwater rep for some advice and, like me, do your research!
Patchwork works!
4 cables go in, 4 cables come out, cleans your rig up without a doubt.
Functional and Convenient Accessory for Temple Audio Pedalboards
The 4-Way Jack Patch has been an valuable addition to my Temple Audio pedalboard for the functionality, convenience, and organization it affords. I use this module to run a Boss NS-2 in 4 cable method and MIDI expression. To achieve 4 cable method, the module jacks used patched to the NS-2 as In, Send, and Return. This allows me to set up additional pedals off of my pedalboard like… read more Wah and Whammy very easily while taking advantage of my NS-2. The final module jack is used to send a MIDI over TRS from Dunlop DVP4 to a MIDI controller underneath the board and I have found it to be hugely convenient. By having definite patch points, the cable runs underneath and to my board have been cleaned up greatly. I am very pleased with this module and would recommend it to others looking to get more out of their pedalboard.
No templeboard is complete without this!
What else can I say... It completes this board! Way cool tech!
