Quality cabinet w brutal tone!
I picked up ine of these and have to say its just incredible. Dead perfect top to bottom and smartly designed. 102 pounds! You can lift it yourself but its a challenge. It is a massive cabinet. the low mid punch makes your std tuned 6 string axe sound like its tuned in drop D. in D standard its like a heavy grind. NOT fizzy tonally but loaded w rich harmonics. I am pushing it with… read more a PRS Archon 100 and it sounds incredible. Get one. Thank me later!
Useful review
First thing we did was A/B this cabinet against a 2006 Mesa 4x12 rectifier V30s , 1991 Marshall 4x12 jcm900 GT75sWe play 27/28 scale Mayones baritones tuned down to GToday’s power was a Mesa tc100, with a variety of sweet pedalsOur sound was already dialed in previous to adding the Friedman. We plugged in the Friedman and couldn’t believe how good this thing sounded . We knew… read more right away that this cab was something special. The clarity, tone, power, all of it. So now our number 1 is the Friedman, 2 Marshall, 3 Mesa, all are sweet cabs. We purchased this cab wanting a different sound and We got it. All have great sounds for recording, glad we added this one. Definitely one of the best purchases we’ve made, especially buying a customer return and saving $... The discounted cab came with 2 tiny, dings in it. Cabinet didn’t work when we first got it so we opened the back up, soldered 1 wire and we were good.Pretty dang good for a $... discount. Keep that in mind when looking to buy gear here at sweetwater, look for the returns or discounted items if you want to save some money. I’ve bought a few things that were returned or had a ding and all have worked out great.Erin Mansfield Dorr MI
Fantastic Sound
Tight clear bottom end. Highs are clear and sweet without any hint of shrillness. This is my go to cabinet. It"s a beast and really requires two people to transport it. Worth the effort! I might buy a second just to make sure I"ll always have one.
Amazingly brutal cab
I've had this cab and the butterslax over a year now. It's huge and sounds huge. This cab remains focused and deep while having cutting mids and highs with awesome detail and clarity. Worth the price of admission. It is the perfect compliment to the butterslax head for tight rhythms and soaring leads. Low volume it still sounds clear. If you can crank it, it will amaze you. Loudest… read more cab I've played and also most unique. It makes normal 4x12's looks small haha.
Holy Bajeezers
Just got it home and hooked it up to a 6505+ and rocked unlike anything I have had before. Friedman, my drug of choice for now on.
