Convex shape is amazing

It's all up to the individual, but if you already like jazz III picks then you should definitely try them out. It's the only pick I've found with the convex grip, it feels very locked in. Big fan of the ultex jazz IIIs and this one is my favorite by far. Not good for strumming tho, (other than the xl's I don't think any of the jazzIII are good for that) but perfect if speed and read more comfort are the goal. Annnd they hardly ware down, I've been using the same one for 3 months and I haven't noticed basically any change, I got 6 for 3 dollars and I dont know if I'll ever have to buy new picks

These picks are astounding! I originally ordered a set of John Petruccis' Signature Jazz III along with the Dunlop 2.0 and just this week while practicing the technique of speed picking, I found my new pick (no pun intended). These are much pointier than the John Petrucci's. I am able to really speed pick the strings with these and they're a steal... This is indeed a small pick read more but it performs exceptionally well. No matter what style you're playing, you want to control the strings at all cost. I always check the competition but not to buy from them. I check because its so funny how something small but meaningful to a guitarist is never in stock. Again, found it at Sweetwater, BABY!!If you haven't made Sweetwater your go to music company, you're a tool! Everything, and I do mean everything I've needed has been right here at Sweetwater.com! Now stop reading this review, buy these picks and get back to practicing.

In my search for the perfect pick, I ordered packs of these and I'm a believer. I've handed these out to friends to try out, so I have to keep buying them. Perfect thickness, grips well, and the curvature feels good. Dunlop is my favorite brand- If I'm not using these, their Gator picks (Blacks, Greens or Blues) are next in line. Thick picks- the only way to go. OK, finger picking read more is also in the rotation.

We''re all different- -none of us are cut from.the same cloth. Some player's strum country vamps all night long; a thin or medium doses the trick. Many Rockers go for medium or heavy picks, Eddy Van Halen gigs with medium 351 style picks; nonetheless, Robben Ford plays with standard heavies. Keith Richards has a simple approach- -just scatter an assortment on top of read more his '59 Basemen (why didn't I think of that?). Why didn't I write "Start Me Up," "All Down The Line," "Satisfaction, " nevermind... The thing is, you use the proper tool to best get the job done. For me, the Dunlop Jazz lll rock! I play classic Blues, Roots Rock and Roll, Hard Rock, l've been around for a while. The Jazz lll's force me to use good technique- -otherwise if l use the common Fender 351, eventually l end up holding the pick with both my index and middle fingers, and striking the strings with my middle finger nail--no good! Sounds like crap, my nail wears down funny, makes it impossible to get a tone finger picking, moreover, l do not play clean, crisp single note lines, and my speed greatly depreciate. Many of us burn the midnight oil to develop chops, and if a simple thing like going to Dunlop Jazz lll picks make a significant difference; sign me up! My first guitar should have hep me to this. Ritchie Blackmore plays small super heavy jazzy picks, Eric Johnson rocks Dunlop Jazz llll picks, Clapton uses extra heavy picks--you get the picture.

Been using these for near ten years . My playing progressed after I purchased them for the first time. I can't say enough about them. My control has gotten better , and my technique is more aggressive. I can move faster and alternate better .
