Great picks
I have used many different picks. I was using heavier picks for a while jazz 3's tortex .88-1.14, Herco 50's and 75',Fender celluliod med. and heavy. I had bought the max grip picks some time ago .60, .73, .88 and 1.0. A friend of mine that has been plaiyng for many years recommended the .73 max grip, so I gave it a go and really stated too like them, great tone and I like a little… read more flex in the pick, the max grip is a great bonus really no need for a thick pick for acoustic or electric guitar for me. I do use a tortex .60 or .73 once in a while. Thanks too Sweetwater for the great service as always.
" sure Grip "
Been using these for like a year now . My reason is because of bad neuropathy do to being a type ll Diabetic for 27 years now . My fingers often lose feeling and this is the only pick that works for me in that situation .
Finally found my pick!
After 30 years, and hundreds of different picks, this is the one. Now, that being said, if they made a Flex with Max-Grip I would order immediately. Sweetwater much better than Amazon!
The Perfect Pick
I love these picks in terms of the price, feel, thickness and playability not to mention the non-slip texturing is fantastic.
MY FAVORITE FLAT PICK FOR STRINGED INSTRUMENTS
I've been using these for several years now & am purchasing another 12 pack. I have at least 150 guitar picks of various types, brands & thicknesses... mostly flat picks of this shape but I also use thumb & finger picks. I've tried just about every type on our planet. I've always had a problem with most flat picks spinning sideways between my thumb & finger or they just didn't… read more feel right. I have no problems with these picks & they'll give your instrument a better sound & facilitate ease of play... strumming, note picking or whatever, these are the best & aren't easily worn down on the picking end but I've actually worn the grips off them with continued use & just grab another new one. For playing a venue with my acoustic electric without an amp, my favorite is the 73mm... perfect for strumming or picking. If my Takamine P5DC is used in a small room or with an amp or any regular electric guitar, the 60mm is my choice. Anyway, strumming or picking open, electrified or whatever & depending on the song, 60mm to 73mm is my preference.. I'm sure others have different views because of various playing styles, string gage, techniques etc. However, I only care about what works for me. If I crank my Mesa Boogie way up & just play rhythm on any of my electrics, I may step down to a 46mm. I always carry a pocketful of various sizes depending on the venue & how or what I play. Dunlop is my favorite, regardless of the thickness. Try some of these & you won't have to experiment & waste money like I did trying to find the right pick. If they work for me, they'll work for anybody.
