The best feel for me.

Lonnie Critchfield

Picks are really subjective to personal taste but these feel and hold on to my fingers the best for me. I do a lot of palm muting and quick high string hits for harmonic scream flavor/noise. There's something mellow or aggressive with tone with these that's very reactive to playing dynamics for me so I can hit hard or strum to make things almost plucky surf when I need it clean/soft read more or hard tight thrash when I want. My fingers can press/shape to these much better than other standard/tortex type picks to change to the way I want them to feel or sound. I switch from 1.0 to .88 to .73 depending on the the feel and sound I want, the .73 and .60 are wonderful for acoustic playing.

These correct slippage hassles. Great feel & awesome grip! Bought an extra pack for my brother after giving him one to try out, which he immediately loved!

Luv it!

For years I would grab an exacto knife and etch a Dunlop tortex pick in a criss-cross pattern to get a max grip typ feel.. . Now I don’t have to do it anymorecause Dunlop is now making em. These are now becoming my go to pick for all my Guitar useage.Fit,form, function, what it’s intended for is superb,I’ve been using Dunlop max grip now for a year and I’ve been playing 30 read more years, live gigs 20 years and I’ve tried them all. The .88 seems to be the one that works out well for me. Check it out peps!

My new favorite pick

I had been using the green Dunlop Tortex 0.88mm seemingly forever... I began playing in 1987, so yeah. hehehehe But last year wanted to try to change things up abit, explore more options. Everyone raves about the Jazz IIIs, so I looked and found some with the Max-Grip design, which intrigued me. I always found the Tortex to be rather slick, after the initial powdery feel wears read more off, so I ordered them. I LOVED the Max-Grip design, but the Jazz IIIs are just simply too physically TINY for me! Or maybe I'm too big... at 6'1" & 235 lbs, I'm not a giant or anything. LOL But upon finding the Max-Grip STANDARD SIZE picks, I ordered a bag ASAP! And I couldn't be more pleased. These do EVERYTHING I need them to do; they sound great, AND they stay in my hands, even when wet with sweat. I do NOT like a flimsy pick, so the 1.00mm thickness is perfect for tight thrash metal rhythms and also downtuned thick strings & stoner rock.

Great Pick!

I am really pleased with these picks. They stay in my fingers better than I had hoped. I was using regular Dunlop picks because they had the raised print on them which helped with gripping them. These, however, I guess because of the alternating pattern and angle of the raised slashes, stay in the same position in my fingers even when I change from light strumming to dig-in picking.
