The small size forces you to hold the pick correctly and they are less unobtrusive than standard sized picks. There is a small learning curve to adjust to the size but after you get use to it it's hard to go back. They improve picking speed and offer far less picking "noise" than the standard size as well. I've noticed that this material in particular improves note clarity. Over… read more all I'd highly suggest. As the title states they are renowned for a reason. Hey, it's no secret, the Jazz III is a legendary guitar pick! Though I have it in all materials, the red nylon is my fav. Feel, tone, attack - it's all there with these picks. Try them!

Full disclaimer: I've been playing guitar for less than a year, so take my review with a grain of salt. I've been using the d'addrio black ice picks on the recommendation of my guitar teacher and didn't have any complaints with them. On a whim, I ordered an assorted pick collection and tried these out. And oh boy - what a HUGE difference! I can't believe how perfect these picks… read more feel. I love these picks for practicing solos, running up and down scale patterns. The nylon material will give a slightly mellow tone. I keep coming back to these time and time again. You can't go wrong with these in your collection.

I use many picks but all Jazz III style. Love Jazztone 205's. But inevitably when I'm gigging I always feel best with these. The tone is exceptional and they are so popular for a reason. The attack is great and I never hear any pick noise. I even prefer using it for strumming. Make no mistake it will improve your playing and don't worry about the smaller size, you'll get used to… read more it real quick and then you won't go back to a larger pick.
