Great Picks!
I have been using these picks for a while now and they are great! I totally recommend these for ripping awesome solos, playing crushing leads, playing rhythm, and for playing anything that requires precision picking because this pick is very accurate. They have a great sound and feel. They look very slippery which was a concern for me before I got them, but the writing on both sides… read more and the cutout on top make the pick stay where you want it to stay. However if you are not a fan of smaller picks you might not like these picks, but for me they are perfect.
Love these picks!!!
Meet my new soloing pick! These are really low-profile picks, but once you get accustomed to the size, you'll love them. Nice sharp edge and bevel, good strong attack on the string, and then it slides right through. It seems like they would be awful slippery, but the raised writing on both sides and the notch at the top makes them much easier to keep in hand than one would thing.… read more I'm not sure I would use it with an acoustic, but neither does Kirk. For electric play and especially soloing, these are great!!!
Great!
I play a lot of Metallica, and it's a lot of fun to use these. I've started to favor smaller picks because of them
Fast but small
Once I have it between my fingers so I can fully control it, only the very tip sticks out. Because of that, it seems to let me play slightly faster for the same effort as my regular picks. It does make it a little harder for me to nuance the rhythm stuff and dig in for pinch harmonics because the backs of my fingers get in the way. I wasn't sure about the notch at first, but after… read more playing for a while, it makes perfect sense. This pick doesn't try rolling in my fingers as I'm playing. Sweat doesn't seem to be a problem either. So good for leads and melodic stuff. Good for smaller hands would be my guess. But if I'm finger picking while holding it, this pick is much harder to bring back into playing position than regular sized picks. It wants to spin sideways rather than sitting tight in the pocket. Wanna pick slide? Not likely. Wanna noodle super fast but don't care as much about dynamics, probably one of the best there are. I've added photos of this pick and a few comparison picks. The one that seems like I'm really proud of my thumb nail is to show how little of the pick will be exposed. You'll have to look very closely to see it.
Great picks
I could see how they might not be for everyone, but I really love these picks. The grip is really nice, as is the weight, and overall feel. The sound is bright and nice and they are smooth with no snag. I think they work nicely for those of us with a more aggressive picking style, but they slow down and lighten up nicely too. I have smallish hands, and I found them a good fit, and… read more they have some substance to them. I love them so far :)
