I've tried a lot of picks but this one is amazing!
These are amazingly comfortable and deadly accurate for string attack. They make sweeping effortless and pinch harmonics ring. Whether you're a straight up alternate picker or hybrid, this pick is the perfect tool.
The Hype Is REAL
John Petrucci and Dunlop collaborated on a video to plug these picks, and Petrucci is a guitar master on a level most of us can only dream of, while the rest just wish we could even approach something like his skill. So, when he's talking about how the new Trinity pick gives more control, a smoother action, and better tone, it would be easy to dismiss it as just hype to sell a product,… read more or something only a stratospherically good player would notice. Not so with these picks. The control factor is the first thing noticed: because of the material used and the texture of the picks between fingers, and the fact that the Dream Theater symbol is on one side, with the Jim Dunlop text on the other to give something for fingers to really latch onto, the grip feels tight and the pick doesn't seem like it's going to go anywhere, ever. Action and tone are tougher to qualify, but even at my lowly skill level I noticed that transitioning from string to string with these picks was markedly improved. My dad is a far better player than I; when my order of these picks came in I gave him a few to try out, and he picked up on all these features really quick. They do have a smoother action, and because of the way the edges are on these Trinity picks, there's much less pick scratch sound on string strike, meaning better tone. It was absolutely incredible. These picks aren't messing around, and the Trinity absolutely is the real deal.
