Great Shredder Pick

I had read that Andy James had released his new Dunlop Flow picks. Toni, my sales rep, let me know these were in stock and based on our discussion together agreed these would be a good pick to add to my shredder arsenal. I like a thick pick (these come at 2.0mm) with a nice point. These are a perfect pit. I absolutely love them and recommend these. I would like to point out that read more these are similar to the Petrucci (new - not the old) picks. However, these AJ picks are slightly bigger. I go back and forth and like them both and for the price, I recommend you get both if you like these types of picks also. One other difference is that the AJ picks look black but if you hold them up to the light, they are actually a translucent blue which is really cool. The Petrucci picks are solid. Both are great. Call Sweetwater and ask for Toni. She's awesome!

Just fantastic!

Clear attack, rich sounding. Feels smooooooooth. It is way better than gravity and other overpriced picks out there. However, these signature Flow picks are slippy. Normal Flow pick is a better option.

Great Picks

I've been using the regular jazz III for the past 3-4 years without problems. I saw a video showing these on youtube and thought I'd give them a try. Glad I did. I have noticed that after using these my picking has become more percussive and focused than with the regular jazz III's. They are pretty large compared to what I'm used to, but that was quickly overcome. The thickness read more is great and glides through the strings. You don't need to use as much wrist strength when picking due to the thickness and size, because if you do you'll find yourself going out of tune. Great picks.

Found the Grail!

I've been playing bass for over 20 years and I've found the pick I've been looking for, in the Andy James Flow. I've played Ultex picks before and the material is far superior than Tortex. The combination of the thickness (2mm), the beveled edges, and the overall shape (a beefed up Jazz size) have resulted in a pick that slices through bass strings. The 'click-clack' that normal read more picks produce is almost but gone and the overall sound is the perfect blend of shimmer and bright.
