The perfect guitar pick.

I've been using tortex picks for 16 years. Before I bought these I was experimenting with the tortex flex picks from dunlop in 1mm, 1.14mm, and 1.5mm. Great picks if you play metal and you're coming from the standard tortex shape. Really liked the 1.5mm, but it lacks the molded grip and the beveled edges of these ultex flow picks. These picks are so good at what they do its changed read more the tactile feel of picking. Theres no resistance whatsoever and the strings feel even more slinky. Tremelo picking is free. The ultex material gives off a glassier quality to the tone. I dig it. If your playing is technical and really notey, go for it. You wont be disappointed. Outside of the ugly color, these picks are perfect.

My favorite pick!

Absolute favorite pick for electric guitar. I feel like this blends the characteristics of the classic 351 style pick with the jazz style picks. Love it!

I’m sold!

I had tried some acrylic pics, and do think they are great. But, at 5 bucks each I still lost them. These capture the tone of the expensive picks; feel great in the hand, and are a real bargain! Thanks Jim Dunlop, and Sweetwater!

I'm really glad I discovered these picks! I've pretty much used picks with a smooth surface for the last 40 years, and have found that they always end up shifting in my hand while playing. The gripping surface on these flow picks is amazing, and it stays put in my hand! The ultex material, pointed-tip, & beveled edges allow for less friction as well, to be able to play with complete read more freedom!

Flow Picks - Bigger and Badder

I have been using the Dunlop John Petrucci Signature picks for several years, and when I saw that there was a new JP signature pick, and, more than that, an entirely new line of big ultex picks I was excited. I pre-ordered the picks from Sweetwater, and got both 1.5mm and 2.0mm flow STD picks last week. I think that this pick is a good choice for someone who likes a Jazz III style read more tip, but prefers a larger pick. For reference, this pick is about the same size a standard pick (or jazz XL) but is much more comfortable and precise than a standard pick or a jazz XL. The beveled pick edges are really nice, and the extra grip from the textured center is awesome. I enjoy these picks and found them very comfortable and easy to use.
