Jazzmaster Dark Night Pro II lefthanded- A beautiful thing
I have played Strats and Telecasters for years, but the Jazzmaster was that "other" Fender that I just never experienced. Actually, I had never even seen a lefty Jazzmaster in person, until getting a Squire last year- that Jazzmaster is a great sounding guitar. With that as the background, this Fender American Professional II is probably the best guitar I have played in a long time!… read more The rosewood neck is dark and beautifully crafted, it feels very comfortable sliding up and down the neck, the fretboard and frets are very smooth - the best fret detail I have seen on a Fender... EVER. The tremolo and bridge system works very smoothly, strings stay in tune and don't jump out of the bridge grooves. The tones that are unique to Jazzmasters are all there - the warbled tremolo, the jangling treble and the "Jazzy" tone circuit, with a twist- running both pickups in series. Then there is the Dark Night finish- black to a blue burst (or is that Blue to a black burst), I don't know but it's a beautiful thing.
