Great product!
I had a wobbly, rattly trem arm on my American Standard Strat. It went from rattling and loose to way too tight in the worst possible position - right over the strings. I tried teflon tape, and it worked surprisingly well, but it wears down after you loosen the trem arm and retighten. I put a spring in there and it's amazing now! the arm moves freely, but stops where you want… read more it, and there is NO rattling! Very pleased. I was about to spend about $90on the American Deluxe push-in tremolo, but now I'm totally happy with the stock trem.
No brainer if you have a strat
I always had the bar on my strat and developed it into my playing style. I noticed after years of abuse the bar inside the threaded shaft becomes loose and makes a wobble sound. I always said I wished the strat bars attached like Floyd Rose bars do with a threaded nut. Then I discovered these. They are a must have if you use your bar on your strat! I do everything from slight tremolo… read more on chords to Jeff Beck style dips and bends with the bar as well as EVH dives. This little spring is very stiff you just drop it in the shaft and screw your bar in like normal and the tension of the spring keeps the bar in place where ever you put it. So it is a must! Also no more annoying bar wiggle! Really gives you full control of the tremolo system
