I have used many headstock tuners and while most of them have been solid on guitar, they have struggled to register bass notes consistently. Not with this Korg! This tuner does a stellar job of tuning a bass guitar and is hands down the best clip on tuner I have used on a bass. Build quality seems good, about what I expected for the price. Only minor quibble, it comes with a cheapo… read more battery (but at least they provide one). Put a quality alkaline in this thing and get your bass tuned up.

I have pedal tuners and snark clip ons and they are crap compared to the Korg tuner. This accurately tunes all 6 of my bass strings as well as my 6 and 8 string guitars. Guitar tuners and most bass tuners are unuseable in the bass range and unstable around other noises or people noodling. This thing is rock solid. I love that it has three tuning modes, although I prefer the strobe… read more tune setting that shows whether you are above or below the target pitch. Also works on drop tunings and lower standard tunings like C standard which I sometimes use on guitar.

The korg bass clip on is the best tuner I have ever used. I used others from TC. Electronic, Snark bass one and bass and guitar. This tuner allows me to fine tune my bass where the others couldn't get me there. Really awesome.

I bought this on a recommendation from another bassist. The D'Addario tuners I was was has trouble picking up the low E string, and sometimes even the A. This has no problem recognizing any of the strings. Accurate, easy to use. After purchasing one for my primary bass, I bought three more for my other basses.
