Well made

Great little pedal board. I did not care for the zip tie thing so just went out and bought some velcro for it. Velcro would probable not work as well if I added modual 2 but I just needed a small board for a few pedals and the amp foot switch. This works perfectly for my needs.

Nice board! It's light and easy to use. I don't have to get my pedals gooey with velcro adhesive. You can get creative and fit quite a few pedals on it or you can keep it simple and leave plenty of space for constantly plugging and unplugging pedals, as I often do since I mostly use my pedals in the studio and like to have them available for mixing/production work. I like that read more you don't need any proprietary hardware for each different power supply. The riser is both great ergonomically when it's on the floor and when it's on my desk. It also makes for a perfect place to hide power supplies, buffers, signal splitters, and other utility devices. The downside is that there are a few pedals that are so feature-packed on the surface that it limits where you can put the zip-tie. For most of my pedals this isn't an issue, but my Strymon NighSky really only has one possible place to put the zip-tie, which means that there aren't quite as many palcement options because of how the holes line up. That said, I have a pretty extensive pedal collection with some weird sizes and shapes. The zip-ties work for all of them with the NightSky being the only one that is very limited. So overall, I love it. I definitely recommend it. I like not being locked into a particular ecosystem of attachments and accessories. Not having velcro does have a little bit of a trade-off with some pedals, but overall I think it's worth it.

I liked them better before the latest change

Ok, so my Holey Boards experience began a few years ago with the wooden boards (I still have them). When they changed to the aircraft aluminum I had to upgrade and I was happy. Unfortunately, they've rearranged the holes and now the gear that used to strap in conveniently is hard to line up with the new arrangement of holes. I understand continuous improvement but I think I'm read more done with the product. YMMV.

Love this pedalboard !

Who else has had this dilemma: You want to buy a pedalboard but you don't know what size would be best. Sure, you can pick one out for the pedals you have today, but what about tomorrow? If you add more, now you'll have to buy another pedalboard and part with the old one. That's where the Holeyboard comes in. The modular system is ingenious. Using common zip ties to secure the pedals read more (and I mean SECUREā€¦ no gluey weak Velcro here) you have a sturdy tank-like pedalboard ready for the road. The second tier is angled just right for the feet and make switching pedals on and off more ergonomic. Note: I only have the main unit (Module1) but if I were to get another module, they overlap which makes the board sturdy as it's like a crossbeam, Oh and dont worry.. theres no wobble with both modules connected. Different sized feet account for that. The holes are conveniently large enough to run cables through and underneath the angled area, one can strap a proper power supply. It doesn't come with a case, and while I know the company sells one, I wanted something a bit more traditional. Do some research and look for soft padded mixer cases and you'll find one with the right dimensions to fit. All in all, this is a GREAT pedalboard. No proprietary hardware needed to lock in the pedals. I hope Holeyboard makes a small version (one level) for the essential pedals only person, but I suppose one can use Module 3 (the one made for volume and wah wahs) to do that as well.
