Lightweight & sounds great
I was looking for a lightweight 8 ohm 112 cab to go with my Katana 100 head so I bought this one. After breaking in the Celestion V speaker for about 20 hrs (can't beat Cream, Grand Funk & CCR for that), the Bassbreaker opened up quite a bit. Sounds very good with a variety of genres and I highly recommend it. My thanks to Cameron Green for making it all happen.
Outstanding Cabinet
Got the Bassbreaker Extension Cabinet to add a little more air to my BB15 Combo. The Celestion "V" speakers are very balanced and seem to really shine in the low frequency range. I am truly surprised at what the addition of this cabinet did for the volume of the overall sound. No issues at all keeping up with a full band with gain at 2 o' clock and master at 10 o' clock. One thing… read more to note is the sound is very forward focused so of you're directly in front of the speaker rather than slightly off to the side, watch out! It is very loud.
Excellent Cab!
Bought it to pair with my Friedman Runt 20, and it sounds amazing! Had another cab that made the amp sound like bees, and this is a major upgrade. So glad I purchased this!
Surprising power
The detail and power of this enclosure surprised me. Grab a guitar with meaty PAF-type humbuckers, and paired with either a Fender Bassbreaker 007 or Bassbreaker 15 (combo or head in either case, it doesn't matter), and you'll find yourself lost in the fun (and the lost art) of playing the *amp*, not just the guitar. Just a blast.
A great all around cabinet.
I bought this for a "house" cabinet, at my studio. I've had electric players, and pedal steel players both use it with great joy. I leave it mic'd up in an iso space with a speaker cable run thru the wall to the guitar picker station. I've got a 57 on it, and everybody smiles.
