Great cab!
Loved this cab. It compliments the 45 watt head perfect. Liked it so much ordered a second one for a semi full stack to melt faces. The cleans are nice and the dirty is a nice subtle break up. Classic fender sound. I did thos so I qont have to carry 1 412. Which is heavy but 2 212 is perfect.
1x12 and 2x12
I bought both of the cabs for my positive grid head. Not only do sound amazing with the head they look like they are made for each other, they even have the same style handle as the positive grid does haha. I went to sweet water and tried some different cabs with the positive grid and I came out with these. As always customer service sets the bar high any cab I wanted they let me… read more try in a private room. If you're not buying from Sweetwater you're making a big mistake. This store makes me truly proud that I live in Indiana.
Bassbreaker 212 cab
Got the 45w head and the 212 cab... and it's everything that I had hoped fender would produce. Incredible power and sound!
One of the better cabs from Fender !
Ok, so Im a 54 year old guitar player and gear hound. I found that tone in my head years ago and I have several high end amp heads. That being said, I noticed that some amps I acquired didn't sound good or were not voiced to the speaker cabinet I was using and once or twice got rid of the ill sounding amp rather quickly. Then I began slowly collecting speaker cabinets and trying… read more a half dozen cabs through each amp and was blown away by the tone difference. Set the amps knobs to one cab, and have to reset the knobs to the next cab. Each adjustment bringing the tone in my head back out of that particular cabinet. Crazy I know. Ive got an EVH 4X12, my most beloved Mesa 2X12 horizontal, a closed back Bogner 2X12, Orange 1X12, Mesa 4X12, the obligatory Marshall 4X12, and so on....I ordered the Fender Bassbreaker 2X12 to try out the Celestian V type speakers and was blown away. At the existing price point this cab can hold its own against any of the more expensive cabs listed above. Its lite, affordable, and the bottom end is on par with the more expensive Mesa rectifier 2X12 cabs. If your a metal player you'll love it and it cleans up super nice for the lower gain crowd. A really great all around cab if you only had to settle for one. You can overkill the low end easily and get flubby quick. I had to turn my bass knob back ! Definitely has a V scoop to it but sounds like a cross between a vintage 30 and a greenback with some compression thrown in. Also very responsive to the guitars volume knob. I didn't rate the cab 5 stars due to the rough grey tweed covering which feels like it could take skin off if you rubbed into it, but aestheticly overall pleasing to the eye. The carry handle is a little to thick and may interfere with some heads sitting on top properly. 2 thumbs up Fender !
