The picture is not accurate. The bracket that fits onto the stand is metal but there is no "slot". It is simply a U shaped bracket with 1.5 cm (3/4") distance between the legs. Plenty of room to fit over a bevelled stand. Based on the picture, I was worried about the slot being too narrow, but there is no cause for worry. Plenty of room. This bracket is awesome and will allow me to switch quickly and safely between violin and viola. Just what I needed. Thanks for great product, great delivery and great service/people.
