Was skeptical about these but they seem to be very well constructed. There are two hanging points that are independently supported which is nice. Mesh pouches on the outside for storage of accessories

Why didn't I think of this?

My closets were already filled with guitars, so I was half way there. But the gig bags and cases would shift and sometimes fall over. These hanging bags are a great way to tidy up and make guitars as accessible as a shirt on a hanger. These Gator hang bags have 4 stretch pockets on the outside so that gets the cables, tuner, etc off the floor as well. My only reservation is… read more not with the bags, but with the closet. The bags have some padding and the hanging straps look quite strong. But be aware that the bottom of the bag will likely be 2-3 feet from the closet floor...so if you have a collection of Les Pauls, make sure the hanging rod in your closet is sturdy enough. I plan to get more of these bags. Since they don't come in colors (hint) I'll get some luggage tags so I can identify what's in each bag. Well done, Gator.

Great solution!

I bought a closet full of these bags (Acoustic, Bass and Electric) to free up space in my studio room and give my instruments better protection without the bulk of hard cases in the closet. They are quality (as Gator has always been for me) and a great solution to my needs. I can see them being useful for students or those in tighter spaces or people with children to keep instruments… read more out of the way. These fit all my solid 6-strings (Strat, Jag, LP, Rickenbacker 660, Godin LG). My Rickenbacker 360/12, Fender Electric XII and '76 Fender Starcaster *DID NOT FIT* in the electric bag. The hollowbodies needed the acoustic bag for the lower bout width and the Electric XII needed the bass bag for length.
