I purchased this guitar five years ago from one of "the other guys" because I could play it in the store but I'll review it for Sweetwater. Tone: unamplified the laminated body is dull(to my ear). I much prefer the amplified sound through a very clean amp with slight studio/room reverb. Ah...now you're in true old school jazz territory. That is what this instrument is for. I will never play like Wes Montgomery or Joe Pass but I can get the tone and vibe of that era.
