Absolutey Fantastic
Low action Strings, ultra smooth neck, acoustic/electric, nice sustain and resonance, best on board tuner in any guitar on the market. Absolute must buy.
Gramercy LS
This so called entry/beginner guitar, knocks the heck out of many more expensive guitars I've owned or played. The mahogany top is beautiful, the sound is very warm and rich. The electronics work as intended. The neck is fantastic, might be the best acoustic neck I've ever played. The hardware works as it should. After a slight trussrod adjustment and a tad lighter string change,… read more this LS is very comfortable to play. The only downside I've uncovered is the action on the higher end of the fretboard gets a little high. Easy enough to remedy with a bit of sanding to the compensated saddle. Very nice player, worth the price and then some. Did I mention the neck? Purchased blind at Sweetwater, very happy.
I love this guitar
I'm still pretty new to playing guitar. I started 6 or 7 months ago. After months of playing on a dreadnaught body, I played a Gramercy at one of the local stores. SO much more comfortable and playable. I was hesitant about ordering but one of my friends who plays recommended Sweetwater. The guitar arrived perfect and aside from tuning it up it was playable straight out of… read more the box. Even saved money because the setup is included in the purchase. As for the guitar itself: the fretboard is smooth and comfortable. The onboard tuner is very convenient and at least as accurate as the SuperSnark I have, meaning just fine. The slightly smaller body size is more comfortable for me to play. The art deco headstock is gorgeous. I've only amped it a few times but the sound is warm and clear when I do. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.
Good value for money
Setup perfect on delivery.Well assembled and finished. Neck is thin C.Balanced tone and good sustain.Versatile for all styles.Sound is richer than expected, not honky or shrill. I'm impressed with the pickup system (I plugged into Mesa OneTen). There is a three band equalizer and I wish all my had one, no harsh quacking.Amplified sound very similar to acoustic.
Love at first sight
I fell in love with this guitar as soon as I unpacked it! My whole experience with my sales rep Nick Rice and the shipping and everything was awesome! I waited to write this for a couple months to really know how I feel about the guitar and I have grown to love it more everytime I pick it up (every day). I replaced the plastic nut and saddle with bone and the bridge pins with rosewood… read more pins and put String Joy balanced light naturals on it. The tone and sustain from this guitar is up there with way more expensive guitars and I can say that with certainty because I play with some friends with pricey guitars that are amazed by how my guitar sounds. Excellent guitar for the price and it sounded good right out of the box. Well done D'Angelico and thanks for the great experience Nick and Sweetwater!
