High quality leather, very comfy shoulder pad. The leather is sturdy enough that I have been able to use this strap with my Epi Prophecy without worry of the strap knobs slipping out which is a common problem for Les Paul style guitars and straps.

It was nice of Gibson to include a strap with their 60's reissue Les Paul but the weight of that beast on that thin leather strap made it unusable to me. So when I found this Levy wide padded strap I knew that was the ticket. Now I play with ease and don't even notice the beautiful solid block of mahogany as heavy; just sounding great. If you're playing a LP you want a wide strap to carry that heavy load. This is a very nice one, it is really stiff so you will want to work it with your hands by folding squishing and use a good leather conditioner to break it in.

For the price, these padded Levy straps are truly excellent. I play bass, and all my basses are heavy. These padded Levy's straps are comfortable, and they hold up well. My only small complaint is that the narrow end--the one that attaches to the butt end of the bass or guitar--is a tad thin, so it is where the first signs of wear show, but all of mine--I've bought three over the… read more last few years--are still working fine.
