Very stiff, somewhat thin leather. I hope it softens up as it gets broken in. Also, as other have said at 50" it might be too short for thick-bodied guitars. It barely works for my Gibson ES-165.

I recently bought an Epiphone Les Paul and it is a heavy guitar but I thought the nylon strap I already had would suffice. I was wrong. The difference is like night and day. I can hold this guitar for hours and I feel great. Don't hesitate, treat yourself and get one of these. You really won't regret it.

I really like the strap. Excellent quality. The only reason I didn't give it a 5.0 is that it is too short. I have it extended all the way out, and it is barely long enough to use. It needs to be longer!!
