I Love This Guitar!
I've just unboxed my TL-6, and it's absolutely gorgeous, and sounds as good as it looks, and plays better than any other acoustic guitar I've played. Obviously it doesn't sound that great acoustically, but when plugged in it sounds rich and bright.
Perfect for loud, amplified acoustic, including overdrive/distortion.
I have 2 of these; one in black and one in natural (both steel string). The black has a maple top, the natural has a spruce top (but they sound the same to me). I love these guitars. I often split my guitar signal with one cable to an acoustic amplifier (or straight to the PA system) and the other cable to an electric guitar amp. This gives me a blend of the two sounds including… read more whatever overdrive or distortion I want to dial in on the electric side. This is great for playing in a band setting. This is the best guitar I have found for this as it is very resistant to feedback while still giving an authentic acoustic sound. Not all acoustics sound good when overdriven but this one does. Not all thinline semi solid acoustic-electrics sound good amplified in general but this one does. I also love the feel and playability of this instrument, not to mention it's stunning looks and design. I like the balance/weight, it's thin width, strap button and jack placement and the electronics. The string-through bridge also eliminates bridge pins. The only con/downside for me is having to unscrew the battery compartment; but the battery does last a long time. I love this guitar for playing live, solo or with my band. You can rock the house without feedback. The TL-6 sounds great, feels superb, and looks killer.
