A unique powerhouse

Equipped with unique and versatile voicings, this guitar gives you the capability to easily cycle between so many different sounds. It is lightweight and the neck is more comfortable than your typical acoustic. If you get the chance, play one of these guitars.

Great guitar awesome sounds and very versatile to play. Always wanted to try one of these and with the help and direction and great knowledge of Jeff Jent I pulled the trigger and went for it with no regrets.

I'm a casual player, so don't take this comments as if they were from a professional :-) Playing guitar, particularly acoustic/electroacoustic is one of favorite ways to disconnect from the real world and relax. I used to play regularly when I was much younger, and about two years ago I resumed playing, I'm still trying to get my fingers to respond which as y'all know requires read more practice. I have several guitars, acoustic, electric, MIDI, but I was looking for one electro acoustic with the right size and variation of tonalities, not too heavy, easy to play. And I saw the Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster announced and available at Sweetwater, and fell in love at first sight !! I had to save and wait a little bit, meanwhile I read many reviews, watched countless videos, and when the time was right I ordered mine. Ohh boy, ohh boy, kudos to the Sweetwater shipping gurus, the guitar arrived two days earlier than expected, as usual in the amazing packaging (including the candy bag) from Sweetwater. Besides being a beautifully designed instrument, my first impression was "wow this guitar is pleasantly light" !! I'm still trying to get use to the shape of it, and few times feels a little bit unbalanced, I mean the headstock tends to go down but I believe it is just practice and getting use to how thin it is, thinner than the Gibson Les Paul I also got from Sweetwater. I have a very small amp for practice, but I started playing this one at first without the amp, very nice clean tone, easy to play, no issues at all with the fingerboard, very impressed with the intonation. Now, when I hooked it up to the amp and started playing with the voice selector switch, boooom my brain exploded !!! I could not believe my ears, the tones you can get out of this guitar are amazing, I could not believe when playing in the Rosewood Dreadnought position that it was not just a real large acoustic, very very impressed. Each voice has its own personality and the blend knob gives you so many variations. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and as always by the quality service provided by Sweetwater. The Fender ACoustasonic Jazzmaster became my favorite guitar for daily practice, I play only at home for fun, but I can imagine if I had to play on a gig or at a party with friends, this would be the guitar I'd take with me. Thank you Fender, Thank you Sweetwater !! PS: I had a hard time trying to decide what color to buy, if I had the $$ I'd buy one of each :-)

I love it so much

This is by far the best guitar that I have owned. It is an all in one making this perfect for me. I love all of the settings that it has. I love that it is portable and I can travel with it. It is great to experience such a beautiful guitar. This guitar has a beautiful acoustic and electric sound to it. It sounds even more beautiful through my amplifier. I love that I can glide read more smoothly through the fretboard. I love the feel and comfort of this guitar, the wood is very smooth behind the neck. I am very pleased with my purchase. Thank you Sweetwater for all of your assistance.

The best multi-tool on the market.

As a part-time writer/producer (15 -20 hours per week), it has always been a challenge for me to be able to work in the small space I have allocated for my home studio when working with acoustic instruments, and I would shy away from most jobs because of the costs involved in renting a space to record my music for consideration. So, after watching countless hours of YouTube videos read more and playing an example, every time I would go to a retail location – I had the confidence in this product to deliver the results I was used to from my acoustic guitar collection that includes a Taylor 914ce, Martin D28, Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-45MM, and a few (6) off-brand gems I found at guitar shows.I was not expecting all the "hype" over this guitar to be real, but I have to say it is. This guitar is an amazing writing/production tool! In my 29-year career as a musician (with the last 14 mostly being studio gigs) I have never had a musical instrument that is this versatile, that performed so well. It does what it is advertised to do!Her name is Peppa, and she was named by a duo of 3-year olds…I made a sound sample for a few producer friends, and put it on SoundCloud - Signal chain: Guitar – Cable (brand Monster) – DI (DI Fender Acoustic JR DI out) – interface (PreSonus) – DAW (Reaper).A microphone was not used in this recording. Each track was recorded using stereo out (L&R XLR out)

Loved the Guitar until winter came

Massive fret sprout when the weather turned cold. the wood was clearly not dried properly before constructions. Took several hours to get the frets back to playable. Luckily I didn't have to pay to have the work done but beware!!!

Fun Guitar!

I've had mine for a few days now and I am in love with it! The acoustic sound this guitar has is incredible and it even has a nice distortion tone at the brig pick up. This guitar is perfect for solo players who use loop pedals with there set up. The body pickup makes a great sounding beat that sounds like a cajon. I love the Jazzmaster body the best because it gave off the most read more resonance in my opinion. Fender really hit it out of the park with this one.

This Guitar Is No Gimmick

I've had this guitar since early August, so I've had time to thoroughly test drive this machine. And what a machine it is. But first I have to give kudos to Sweetwater for their excellent follow through as I had the Jazzy on backorder for months, but they always kept me up to date on the status and shipped it right out after they got it from Fender. And their estimate of when they read more would get one was spot on. Plus their typical excellent packing and shipping can't be beat. Thanks Alan (my Sweetwater engineer). I'm a smallish woman who has been struggling with a standard size acoustic guitar and a small body acoustic electric Yamaha. The Yamaha is okay, but the smallish frets are difficult to finger at times. Not so the Jazzy. Generous jumbo frets on the Jazzy's ebony fretboard make it a joy to finger up and down the fretboard. And it stays in tune really well with tight, very playable strings (I think they are 11's that come with the guitar). I was unsure how I would like the rechargeable battery thingy, and I was really disturbed when I drained it in only two days (about 5 hours of play time). But I realized that I couldn't leave the cord plugged in because that's the switch for the battery. After I learned to unplug it, it does last over 20 hours of play time. Still, I would rather see Fender have a quick swappable battery arrangement than the current setup. Strangely, the guitar does not come with a charging power supply. It does come with a nice long cord, but you have to get your own power do-hicky. I thought that was odd. But most of us have them for our cell phones so I guess they figured we didn't need it? I dunno. The fit and finish on Jazzy is outstanding. Made in the custom shop, each guitar is unique. Mine weighs 6.45 pounds. I was surprised by how light and nimble it feels. I love running my hands over the rounded sides to feel the grain of the mahogany body. However, I am not a fan of those giant black panels on the back of the guitar body. Of course they have to be there for access to the electronics and battery, but they are jarring against the beautiful wood grain of the mahogany body. If they ever make after market panels that more closely match the body, I'm all in. Other than that, this is a well crafted guitar made with quality materials. I was worried that the guitar might be too big for me - that I would have to reach to hit the basic open chords near the nut, but the way it sits on my lap is such that it feels right in my hands, and everything is in reach. I love that! It looks so big, but feels so small. And the C Shape neck is also a great fit for me. I've included pictures of it next to my Strat, Telle, and Yamaha acoustic. You can see that the neck seems higher, but not when you play it. Fits like a glove. I have a few different amps (Fender Acoustic Junior Go, GTX Mustang, and Deluxe Reverb) It sounds great on all of them, and I have still to pick a favorite. I use the acoustic amp when playing at church. It's more bassy than the other amps but sounds great when plugged into their PA system. The Mustang has an unlimited number of sounds, and is a riot to play through. The Deluxe Reverb? Well, it's a Deluxe Reverb. Of course it sounds AWESOME. The combination of sounds the Jazzy has available are simply wonderful. I can sweetly play Psalm 34: The Cry Of The Poor on settings 1, 2, or 3 and switch to settings 4 or 5 and jam on Tom Petty's Refugee or Joan Jett's I Love Rock and Roll, and they sound Boss! The controls are simple and straight forward, and work well. Although it did take me awhile to figure out A from B on the blend knob as there are no labels to mar the cool look of its face. Finally, it comes with a really sturdy gig bag, better then many you see out there. I am so happy with this guitar. I do play it unplugged at times when practicing at home, but it is not a $4,000+ acoustic slope shoulder. So it doesn't project broadly or sound as good unplugged. This is a hybrid, but done so expertly, that you will be astonished at how beautiful it sounds, and how versatile it is to play. To sum up, if you're in the market for a versatile, quality acoustic electric instrument that can closely duplicate different voicings of other high end acoustic guitars and also perform as an amazing electric, this guitar will not disappoint.

Fantastic Innovative Guitar

The Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is a fantastic guitar that you just need to try to hear what it's all about. This thing sounds fantastic no matter what I plug it into, a PA system, regular electric amp, it even sounds good not plugged as an acoustic instrument. The neck feels just like an acoustic guitar should, but the guitar itself is super light. The variety of sounds it can produce read more is really impressive, combining this with a looper pedal, I can get good percussive loops by using the body sensor to play along with. From the acoustic sounds to the overdriven electric, I can't get enough of this thig. Extremely satisfied with this purchase. It absolutely sounds like an acoustic guitar when played through a regular amp. The case it come in is also really nice, it like a hard shelled soft backpack case. The only thing I'm not used to is having to charge the guitar via the USB port, but the battery lasts a really long time so it's not even an issue.
