My Baby... but

I need to open with saying that this Uke is, "My Baby". I call her that all the time. She quickly got a few dings on her but sounds great and plays great. She stays in tune a lot of the time when I don't play her. The only string that gets out of tune on it's own is the E. Dunno if that's a common thing but I've had the same issue on my last Uke. My mane complaint is that the tuner read more was dead upon arrival. Sweetwater was awesome enough to send a replacement battery shortly after sending. But that battery then died within less than a couple weeks of installing. I play a lot but I don't know if it's enough to justify buying batteries over and over again. I have another guitar with a tuner installed and I had it for a year and it hasn't needed new batteries. Fender needs to make a more energy efficient tuner because at this rate, I just use my second hand tuner. The built in tuner would be so convenient if I didn't have to replace batteries all the time!

I bought this as a gift for a friend who has been playing ukes for years and is quite good at it. He has a dozen or so of them, goes to Hawaii every year just to get juiced, and gigs occasionally. I myself have been playing guitar for 51 years and have a couple dozen top notch examples. I have to say how impressed I am with everything about this little guy. It's almost funny read more cause it looks like a Tele.....only shrunk. the finish, the tuners, the look......it's all there, and at an unbelievable price point. Treat yourself if you are at all on the fence. It will make your day and make you smile. And, as always, Matt Emik is a joy to work with with all my Sweetwater purchases!

As a proud solid ash Tele owner since Christmas of '76, it was a minor mindblower to discover Fender had finally made a uke version. But it was a full head explosion to see the craftsmanship in mine once I finally ordered myself one. Not one finish flaw anywhere. The tiny tuner was an immediate help in getting the little whanger up to pitch, and the acoustic sound is pretty and read more clear -- a very pleasant, even strum across all four strings and up the neck. But plugged in -- man, this thing just sings through effects. Cranked up, it's of course susceptible to feedback, so it would be nice if Fender would come out with a soundhole cover for loud stage situations. Because who doesn't wanna eventually bring this out live and blow some more minds? And a matching tweed rectangle-style case would be a nice addition as well. Just hinting, for future Christmases.

This little ukulele is great. I ran it through my fender smolder acoustic overdrive and some delays and reverbs into my fender acoustic amp and it sounded amazing. I can get great ukulele sounds or step on the overdrive and rock with a tiny little uke.

This butterscotch Tele-shaped concert ukulele is really outstanding. For the price I was totally blown away. The finish and workmanship was flawless. The electronics sound amazing through my pa. The action is low and the playability right out of the box quite good. Love the Tele headstock. It's a baby clone of my '60 Telecaster. Acoustically to tone is ok. I play a Kanile'a read more tenor uke normally and there is no comparison to it...but then the Kanile'a was 7 X the price of the Fender. All in all, very pleased with the Fender uke and as usual, very pleased with the customer service of Sweetwater.
