Fender Grace Vanderwaal Signature Concert Review

Pics don't do it justice! Absolutely stunning!

I just received my Grace Vanderwaal ukulele today, so this will be a first impressions review. First off, it absolutely beautiful. The pics in the description don't do it justice at all. I only made minor adjustments using the onboard… read more tuner. Super easy. It comes with the battery inserted, so i didn't have to fiddle around with that beforehand. The battery fits in a little slide out drawer on the bottom end of the uke. It's a 2032 battery and will be super easy to replace when necessary. It's fitted with Aquila Nylgut strings that sound decent. I may exchange them for Martins or D'addarios. I'll play it for a while before i decide. The sound is nice and warm, not tinny at all. This uke has some heft to it compared to my other ukuleles. Maybe due to the pickup system. All around, it feels nice and solid. The included gig bag is very nice quality and cushioned well. I'll update this review in the near future to let you know how it holds up. For now, I'm going to eat my Sweetwater candy and play some tunes!

Beautiful instrument

This instrument will be a gift for Christmas but I had to take her out and check her out. What a beautiful piece. She is the perfect weight. The bag is high quality and padded for extra protection. Great Ukulele at a very good price.

This ukulele is just great. Great tone, quality electronics, and Fender quality on the details and finishes. This is my favorite Ukulele, and the one I reach for first. One word of advice though, if you use the onboard tuner, make sure the little button is in off when you finish a session. The little pushbuttom is easy to "double tap" by accident, and if you do that the batteries… read more will most likely need replacing next time you need it. That is my only negative in the entire purchae. If you are an advanced beginner or an intermediate musician on a budget, this is instrument for you.

Awesome Tone. Plays great. I've been a bassist for 30 years and just decided to pick up the uke. This is the perfect instrument to learn on.
