I have played Floyd Rose equiped guitars for many years, but recently got a gutiar that had the 1984 model bridge with brass block. Interesting that this guitar not only had a lot of sustain, but less tension feel to the strings. Very slinky. Could it be that the block makes a difference? I installed the brass block on a similar guitar but one with a stiffer tension to it. Amazingly,… read more not only did the sustain improve, but it now has a softer feel in string tension. No changes were made to the springs or any other parts. I suppose it has do do with the weight difference and how it affects pivot on bridge post fulcrum. When you do a string bend on a guitar with floating bridge, you are of course pulling the whole bridge up, so there has been some change in how this feels with the guitar I installed this on.

Floyd Rose 32 mm brass block , it made a huge difference on sustain I love this part going to order more for my other guitars.

I wanted to put original Floyd rose parts on my Dean ml.And Sweetwater had all the all the parts that I needed in stock. The brass block the silent springs and the brass claw.
