Great upgrade to an "old standard"...
I've owned every version of Floyd Rose Bridges since '78 along with the different types of "Arms", from Non-Fine tuners to the current "Original" version, this is so much better "Than the Wrench Model" that will Always come loose!!! not very good. The New "Push-In" tremolo arm is a big step for a Solid feeling and "no clanking" sounds especially if you like playing in clean mode… read more (comes through during recordings) or if you "Flutter" the tremolo in distortion mode. It's the feel of the "Screw-in version" that has always disappointed me? That Clankly feel/sound from a awesome tremolo system, once changed to the "Push-In" type it relives those issues. The New Arm "Base" fits in well on the Floyd base plate, it has a slight indentation (or lift) that as you tighten the nut, keeps the base at an angel so you can adjust the Hex Screw to tighten the Arm, enough so you have some Looseness but can push-it out of the way one moment and then swing it back. It feels very stable and "Smooth" very nice feel from subtle to aggressive, worth changing, Wonderful low cost Upgrade.
No more screwing around!!
My old floyd arm used to come loose a lot. I got this...and It solved all my problems. If your floyd arm socket always comes loose, stop screwing around and get this. you won't be disappointed
Great for both Floyd Rose 1000 Series and Golden Age Licensed Floyd
I've installed these arm-and-socket sets on two guitars, and it's the best inexpensive upgrade I've ever performed. The first time I used on was upgrading the Golden Age (Stewart-MacDonald) licensed Floyd Rose tremolo I put on a 1999 Ibanez RG350DX. The second one went on my Jackson Pro Series Soloist with Floyd Rose 1000 Series; the tremolo is great, but the tensioner collar frequently… read more comes loose--even on a guitar costing over $1K--which is disappointing. I've just ordered by third push-in arm for my 2017 Ibanez JEM JR. You'll want to keep a 2mm hex key handy for adjusting the arm tension in the socket. Depending on how often and how aggressively you use your Floyd, you might need to loosen or tighten the 2mm set screw 2-3 times a year at most.
