Wow just wow!!!
First off my experience buying this guitar and the level of customer service from my sales guy Dave Hoffman have made me go Sweetwater all the way. I've left "the other guys" totally. I did extensive research on about every acoustic in purchasing this guitar. I knew this is what I wanted. I've never played a guitar that there wasn't something I would change…..then I got this one.… read more Even the setup from Sweetwater had the action exactly where I would've wanted it, it's like they knew me. The sound of this gibson is phenomenal to say the least. Everything is balanced; the lows the mids the highs and it doesn't matter whether your finger picking, strumming chords, playing Van Halen at the top of the neck ….it's nuts how amazing they all sound. Zero complaints. My band mate has played everything and started with bluegrass when he could walk…he played it last night and says," man, I've played about every brand and style of acoustic guitar, this one is the best I've ever played." He was amazed at it. I know it's pricey but you get what you pay for. Eventually I'll move off the couch and back to the bed again with my wife and that's ok……it's worth it. Haha. If you're considering this one pull the trigger. It sounds as beautiful as it looks. You won't regret it.
Beautiful instrument!
I have been playing guitar for 50 years and have always lusted after a hummingbird. This guitar has met all of my expectations and more. The workmanship is very high quality and the guitar has a huge, balanced, and very bold tone. The Rosewood lends a particularly rich sound compared to mahogany and I am really glad I opted for this vs. the traditional model. As good as this sounds… read more now, I can't imagine 5-10 years from now as it opens up. I highly commend Gibson's Montana facility in producing top notch instruments. I own a lot of great guitars, but this has gone straight to the top as my go to strummer. Highly recommend elixir 80/20s for this one, will give you a very big dreadnought sound!
Hummingbird Deluxe
This is a great guitar. Quality at its best. I Couldn't be happier with its looks and sound, and would recommend this guitar to anyone. My sales rep Trey at Sweetwater was awesome and extremely helpful, and I would refer Sweetwater to anyone.
Amazing Hummingbird
I've wanted a Hummingbird for years now, and finally decided to pull the trigger. I really liked this model due to the darker "burst" color, and also the Rosewood back and sides. I was initially hesitant to order it online without playing it first, but knew what I was looking for, and went for it. It arrived from Sweetwater in perfect condition with a fresh setup, and looked… read more and sounded better than I could even imagine. Tone and Sustain for days, and such a well balanced instrument is the best way I can describe it. Clear defined highs, and nice tight lows. It's everything I've ever wanted in an Acoustic Guitar. Alex Campos at Sweetwater was great to work with as well on the order, and made sure to keep me in the loop every step of the way. Couldn't be happier, and would recommend this guitar, as well as Sweetwater, to anyone who's been wanting to get a Gibson acoustic that'll only get better with age.
