Worth every penny

First off let me say that I'm a newcomer to Sweetwater (about 2 years) and have been working with Matt A. all along. The customer service at Sweetwater is outstanding. Matt will answer any question you have And when ordering with him I feel like I'm conversing with an old friend. I have several high-end acoustic and electric guitars but this is the most I've ever spent on a guitar. read more Having said that I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this hummingbird. In my opinion this guitar is worth every penny. The craftsmanship is second to none. Its a beautifully crafted instrument that plays and sounds like a dream. It's only the second guitar I've had (50 yrs of buying)(the first being a 2009 Les Paul Traditional)that was set up perfectly from the factory. Will not make one adjustment other than putting my strings on it. It has the most balanced sound I've ever heard on any acoustic guitar. Every note anywhere on the neck is as close to perfect as you can get. After playing it for an hour or so I understand why they call it the Hummingbird. It has a wonderfully light (not overstated or loud) tone. My hat's off to Gibson for still making some of the best guitars in the world And to Sweetwater and Matt for their industry leading customer service.

An addition to my "collection", which includes a Gibson J-45, a Martin D-18 & a few others. The Hummingbird has it all - great feel, great sound, and fantastic playability. My hats off to Gibson, which still has the ability to produce an excellent acoustic product line.

These guitar sounds so pristine and when you plug them in and it sounds even better there is a slight hum when plugged in but that's to be expected. The only reason why I didn't give it a full five stars is because one of my tuning keys was bent but Sweetwater was excellent with their service and sent me a replacement ASAP I pop them in good as new

It can be hard to buy an expensive guitar without playing it first, but the team at Sweetwater make it easy as can be without playing the instrument. The guitar played and sounded great right out of the box. The action and intonation were spot on for me and the guitar is gorgeous. It has become my favorite guitar. Also, I can't say enough about Sweetwater's customer service. Logan read more contacted me shortly after the purchase and put to rest any concerns I may have had. I highly recommend the Hummingbird and Sweetwater Music.

Great guitar, very happy with this purchase. The mahogany body paired with Sitka top produces a classic Gibson tone. Short scale, rosewood fingerboard, and round neck profile make it very playable. If you have played Gibson electrics or acoustics it will feel like an old friend. Nice balance of low, mid, and high frequencies and equal volume across all strings. Good volume read more and sustain, single notes in the upper registers really ring out nicely. Baggs Element VTC (volume, tone, compression) does a nice job of accurately producing the acoustic tone when amplified. It does not sound boxy like some under saddle pickups. Gibson Bozeman did a great job building this guitar and with Sweetwater's inspection process it came to me in perfect condition, set up and ready to play with no adjustments needed. Service from my rep Bart Amburn, and from Sweetwater in general was, as always, excellent. Ordered late on a Tuesday and was in my hands Friday morning. This Hummingbird from Gibson's original collection is beautiful without being gaudy. Gotoh tuners seems really solid and the guitar stays in tune well.
