It's nice to have a couple guitars to choose from, right at your grasp, without the awkwardness of two stands in the same space. They seem built well, admittedly more solid feeling than I thought they would be. Pleasantly surprised there! The whole unit, together with it's mic stand/base, sits surely on the floor.
