Great Customer Service for a super fun Guitalele

Stephanie Thomas

I have an acoustic guitalele but needed to upgrade for live show performances. Gretsch is an amazing company so when I saw this long neck beauty I was excited! It's so much fun to play, and so beautiful. It's small, about the same size as a tenor ukulele, but surprisingly has a deep sound. If you want to play it in the same key as a guitar or ukulele its a capo on the 4th fret. read more The onboard tuner is great. I've already used it for shows and it sounds great through speakers. When the case I received came with a broken zipper, the team here at Sweetwater sent me a new one right away!! Such a good company and excellent service. Will continue to be a loyal customer! Thanks Sweetwater!

The G9126-ACE is more than expected and then some

This Gretsch Guitarlele is so much fun I have been reaching for it more and more for daily playing. It is built so well and the Fishman pickup is great. It has a unique sound and untethered range that fits many songs that I was not expecting. I have been playing ukelele's for years and this satisfies all the Uke needs as well as guitar sounds. It seems to have no limits.

Best little guitar ever

I have been having so much fun with this guitarlele. Several folks I play music with have bought one since I got mine. The Gretsch G9126-ACE sounds so good and the Fishman pickup is really nice. I have been playing it nonstop for months and it just gets better. On my second set of strings and been having a ball. I have been playing guitar and Ukulele for a while and this just got read more me activated all over again. I think I am getting a Gretsch resonator for Christmas, woohoo!.

My Uke

I gave one review after I got my gretsch Uke but I thought since I've had it a week or two I better update. About the 6 string Gretsch ukelele I would become a spokesperson for gretsch based just on this ukelele. I don't think I've ever had so much fun on any instrument in my life. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. That's how great just the acoustic side of it is. Now plug this read more bugger in to anything and BAMMMM. The crystal clear sound of a Gretsch. I hooked my delay up to it and my compressor and had a blast but you don't need anything for this thing to sound good. Not even an amp

This is the best investment I've made! This thing is way too much fun! I sat down to try and play a few things the day after I got it in the mail. 3 hours later I was finally putting it down. Since I got mine not a day has gone by without me sitting down and playing something on it! I absolutely LOVE this little Gretsch!

Bought when the price was high, but glad to have it

I missed the current sale, but I received this beautiful, substantial, well-built instrument in fine working order and already set up. Couldn't improve on anything. Tone is beautiful, especially through an amplifier. The Fishmans electronics are quick and precise. Couldn't have picked a better guilele. It's my second, and though the previous, cheaper one will always be with read more me; this one has captured my heart and ears!!

I Feel Good

Been playing a c level guilele for a couple months, then felt I deserved to move up. Shopped for days, and it came down to a Kala and the Gretsch. The Gretsch seemed to offer more in the way of quality features and was... more than the Kala. Great choice..... feels good in my hands, Fishman EQ works precisely. Plugged in sound is heavenly. I have 10 stringed instruments...this read more is now my favorite...

Weird and Fun!

I am a professional guitarist of 30 years. I own 23 guitars and I do my own work on them. Let me start with the good stuff about this little dude. It sounds awesome! It"s loud and plays nice. The finish is beautiful and seems to be built well. It"s a lot of fun to play. The intonation is good from the first through the 5th fret. The timers are nice. The solid top and bone nut/saddle read more are nice. The gig bag is great. The action is great and has no dead spots. The bad: Up further on the neck the intonation is pretty bad. But I won"t be using it for any leads or complex Jazz chords up high on the neck. Not a deal breaker for me on this particular instrument. The fret edges are a bit sharp but not bad enough to justify working on it. The strings are not put on very well so they don"t hold tune. Once you change the strings, it"s great. The neck is wide and a bit thick and the frets are very close together. There"s not a lot of bad stuff about it. It"s not going to be your main guitar but it"s really cool and fun. It takes getting used to but once you do, you can have some real fun. I would recommend this instrument to anyone.

Very well made, great quality. Makes for a great travel guitar if youre going somewhere and dont wanna carry around your big guitar. Also adds a great new sound if youre looking for a little variety in your guitar arsenal. Love it.
