Worth the money
I had 3 of these before I ordered this one, now I have 1 each for my Strat, Tele, SG, and Les Paul! While these are a good stand, I can't say that I am as fond of the new one as the others. Why? I'll tell you. The lower arm(the part that supports the guitar is now about half the size and I feel that more support is better. Also, the "hook" that goes over the top of the guitar could… read more be maybe 1/4" longer. It's a bit tight for a thick body guitar like a Les Paul. AND FEDEX delivered it 1 day early!!! An Excellent Solution
Could use a little refinement and I wouldn't mind paying a couple dollars more for it. That said, the concept is genius and solves a forever problem of securing jazz-bodied basses on portable-sized stands. Symmetrical stands are inherently unstable with these basses shape and this design secures the body in a way that gives me confidence they'll be upright the next time I do a… read more change on stage.
Good idea that needs some work
Two months from purchase the stand is trash from normal bedroom use. The welds that held the mounting nut to the bottom cross bar sheared off. Fortunately the sharp ends did not scratch my bass.
