This is a good stand for someone who doesn't want the stand itself to be obviously there, like when you have your guitar in your living room. It's very small and easy to bring to gigs. I like that it grabs onto the guitar body so it isn't free to swing like hanger stands. Plus, you can pick the guitar up and the stand hangs on so it's easy to move. The mechanism is not smooth… read more at all. Even after a generous amount of lubricant, the mechanism is sticky. Pushing straight down works best, but that is tricky because the stand angles backward. After I get the guitar into the stand, I have to squeeze the base cradle and the neck cradle toward each other so the stand grabs the guitar firmly. This stand would be junk if it weren't for being so cheap. The mechanism is inconvenient, but for the price, I can live with it.
