Blessing for a friend
many years past my friend gave me a guitar. I have always wanted to return the Blessing. this Guild Westerly could not have been a better choice. great guitar , he and his wife play and sing in church , He loves the guitar. great service Sweetwater. Thank you.
Great guitar!
I was amazed when I took it out of the box and the setup was as perfect as I could make it. Nice low action... 3/32 at 12th fret, intonation near-perfect 1/2 beat off on two strings and tuning adjoining strings 1/2 beat sharp and then the string in question tunes in perfectly in intonation... if that makes sense.Holds tune VERY well. Tone is near perfect to my ears. It has the… read more same woods as my stolen 1972 D-18. Of course that guitar had beautifully seasoned wood after nearly 50 years and the Guild is solid Spruce top, but laminated mahogany sides and back(both flamed and regular) versus solid mahogany for the D-18. So the Guild will never age as well as the Martin, but I'll be long gone before that becomes an issue. I'm sure it sounds similar to my old Martin when it was new. A great sound to me... amped up too. ;) Buy one! I don't see how you could possibly be disappointed for the price
This thing has got it.
I decided to buy this guitar after getting my hands one at the local music shop. I can not tell you how wonderful this thing sounds. I really think the bone nut and bridge have a ton to do with it. Doesn't hurt to have that nice back to really throw the sound out. And how could you beat that price. Even still if you want one that sounds great pull back a little and don't get the… read more flamed mahogany. So far this thing is killer, it fits my hands and I enjoy playing it. HOW COULD YOU BEAT IT ??????
Guild D-240E FM
Great sound, comfortable neck, and well finished. Flamed Mahogany looks amazing. No complaints :)
D-240E Flamed Mahogany
This guitar is worth twice the price I paid. It sounds great, it plays easy, and the satin finished flamed mahogany looks and feels amazing. The volume projects very well and the onboard electronics are great. This is by far the best acoustic in this price range I've ever picked up. It is my first guild but definitely won't be my last.
