I've wanted one of these guitars for a very long time, since at least 2010 when Fender owned Guild. I worked for a dealer and these imported solid wood Guild guitars absolutely slayed. I always thought they were underappreciated and undervalued. Guild's fit and finish was better than the half a dozen other brands we carried and light years beyond the other G-titled builder. read more I finally this year I got one. The wider nut is supremely comfortable for finger style playing and the smaller body does not lack for depth or volume. It has also a sweetness you'll not find in a dreadnaught configuration. The trebles ring nicely and the bass is throaty but not overpowering. I've not plugged it in to check out the electronics. Electronics played no role whatsoever in my decision for purchase - I honestly would have preferred a non-cutaway and non electric. The rosewood body is beautiful and the adornment on the headstock is nicely understated. I do not like a lot of bling on guitars and this delivers nicely. The USA variety do not offer a rosewood guitar and that was important enough to me I went with the import model that does offer it. It does need a little tweaking from the factory. The action is on the high side for fingerstyle and is better suited for chugging. I'm sure I'll lose some volume when I do this work so I've purchased a new bone saddle to cut on rather than cutting on the OEM saddle. There are two reasons this got 4.5 stars and not 5 - the gig bag and the tuners. I'd prefer to see sealed tuners and a hard case. The gig bag is the deluxe $100+ one from Guild - surely they could have sprung for a non deluxe hard case.
