Great Guitar Value at this price range
This is my 4th Electro Acoustic guitar. The playability is great with low action right out of the box. It has a crisp and bright sound with attitude! The fretboard is soft and quick. The body is easily handled and light. You can play almost everything with this Guild. The overall finish of this guitar is somehow vintage and well made. I feel very lucky to have bought this Guild… read more OM 240E at this price level.
Great sound and sustain...
Was really surprised when I got this yesterday and started playing it this morning after the 24 hour wait!. Sustain is endless, has a beautiful bellow to it. Cant beat the price! Bought this one blind for my wife to learn on and its far exceeded expectations. Really comfortable is an understatement, electronics are Fishman and sounds perfect through my amp with a little delay and… read more chorus or without. Will be looking at a F-40 next for me. Ive always been a Martin and Gibson player but this might change things a bit. Check one out and give Andy Scheer a call.
Love this thing!
After several Ovation (American Made) and Yamaha guitars, I finally purchased a Guild. While it's not their most expensive guitar, I am very pleased. The quality and craftsmanship are evident the minute you take it out of the box. Action and intonation are spot on. Not only that...this thing is just beautiful to look at. Never owned a dreadnought before but I'm in love already.… read more The jumbos of the past were always too bass heavy to fit into a band well (without some serious eq). This guitar has beautiful tone, is easy to play, and what can I say about the electronics. Love that Fishman pickup. I considered another Yamaha and probably would have gotten it if it were not backordered. So pleased that it worked out this way.
Gets better better
I purchased this guitar from Sweetwater close to a year ago but was in no rush to write a review. But I felt compelled to write now because I am overwhelmed with how great this guitar sounds and plays. The sound has truly improved with its still young age, having become even more tonally balanced and smoother. The action is good and it stays in tune. And it happens to be a beautiful… read more looking guitar. My one negative is that the fretboard is a bit sharp. I wish it was more rounded. Having recently played several Taylor's and Martin guitars, I can say that this guitar sounds far better than guitars costing much more. I don't know how Guild can produce such a fine instrument at this price. Are there better guitars, sure, but not at this price. One could just not go wrong buying this guitar.
Beyond expectations
This was a pleasant surprise! The quality of this instrument far exceeds its price. Would highly recommend !
