SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO ENHANCE JAZZ TONES...AND BOY DOES IT...ESPECIALLY WITH CHROMES FLATWOUNDS..NOT TO MENTION NEAR RIDICULOUS NO BUZZ LOW ACTION WITH THEM.....PICK-UPS ARE CLEAN AND BALANCED, TUNERS, ARE EXCELLENT, POTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD, FRET INTONATION IS SPOT ON, AND CONSTRUCTION FLAWLESS, NECK HAS A SLIM AND COMFORTABLE FEEL TO IT.....I'M NOT THAT CRAZY ABOUT THE PLASTIC… read more NUT..BUT AS SOON AS I'M ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN, LONG ENOUGH TO PUT A BONE OR TUSK NUT ON IT,...I WILL. Stumbled into a guitar store with no plan, walked out with a guitar. To calibrate me, I play jazz standards with bass, keys, and drums, lead and rhythm. For this group I play a range of guitars from hollow body to chambered (Godin 5th Ave, Godin Montreal, Ibanez ATM153, Godin Supreme Classic) and now the IbanezAG85. The AG85 may displace the Montreal as my favorite. 1. Full… read more hollow but smaller than 5th ave. More comfortable. 2. Sound is good acoustic/electric mix. Less acoustic sound than 5th Ave, but more than Montreal. Montreal is a semi-semi hollow, since about half the center block is carved away. 3. Sweetness to sound like no other guitar I have. May be the floating pickups. No matter what I plug it into, there is this sweetness. 3. Flat black. I wouldn't even have picked it up otherwise. 4. Setup was perfect. Strings were very low but no buzzing.
