Good Looking, Well Made, Way Too Long
I agree with the other reviews that this is a beautiful, well-made strap that looks great on my new cherry sunburst guitar. However, the strap is way too long. How long? The overall length of the strap is about 15 inches longer that my new D'Addario World Tour strap and 17-1/2 inches longer than my vintage strap that I am replacing with this. When worn with the guitar body 2/3rds… read more above the waist, with the single layer of strap attached to the cutaway portion of my guitar, I have to position the buckle where it is actually in front of my shoulder. This is unsightly. When the strap attachments are reversed, the doubled over portion of the strap is in front of me and spreads out, which looks even worse. I would return this, but the shipping would cost half the price of the strap. So, I'll take it to the local shoe shop and for $10-15 they will reduce the length by 16-18 inches, seal the edge, and restitch it. I will then have a great looking AND functioning strap. If you wear your guitar at waist level or lower, this won't affect you, and I'd recommend that you buy this if you like the way it looks. If you wear your guitar to where the top edge comes across your chest, I'd recommend looking for another strap or be prepared to bring it to a tailor, upholstery, or shoe shop for modification. Ernie Ball should make these at least 16 inches shorter for less manufacturing cost, more profit, and better fit.
Good Looking Strap, But WAY TOO LONG
This strap has a great appearance, construction similar to my new D'Addario one, and looks fantastic with my guitar's cherry sunburst finish. However, it is 14 inches longer than my new D'Addario patterned strap and 17-1/2 inches longer than the vintage one that I am replacing. When adjusted for proper guitar height for me ( I am 5'9"), the buckle hits me just forward of the top… read more of my shoulder (which looks terrible). When reversing the straps attachments, the then two layers of the strap gap apart at the cut away end of my guitar and that also looks bad. I'd return this, but since I'd have to pay shipping that would be about 1/2 its purchase price. So I'll probably bring it to a tailor and have them take about 18 inches off of it and keep it, and then I'll have a great looking strap that fits. Unless you're well over 6 feet tall and wear your guitar at waist level or lower, I wouldn't buy this.
Nice Strap
I was actually surprised at how much better this strap looked in person than in the photos. Well-constructed, too. I'd certainly buy another one of these.
All is ok !
