This is NOT a toy ukulele. I have several other ukes by Kala; all sizes and all prices...and they are ALL quality made ukes. This one has that great soprano sound and great sustain. Kala is a name you can depend on for very nice looking and sounding ukuleles.

I bought this ukulele as a gift for my wife & My decision to buy this model from Sweetwater was a home run. Sweetwater's customer service & in stock inventory is second to none and once we received it it was game on! Kala makes a great ukulele no mater what your experience is, beginner to experience players cant deny the quality of this ukulele, mahogany & spruce make for an amazing… read more small island sound & the aquila strings & graphtech nut are top notch ( my Les Paul doesnt even have a graphtech nut...thats an upgrade I have to do later ) One bit of warning, ukuleles go out of tune a lot so dont be alarmed, it's normal! Just clip you tuner on & tune her up. If your in the market for a ukulele may I recommend this here brand & model for tons of fun & super easy to learn & play! This purchse was the best! Oh & get yourself a cool case as well.
