Cant Beat It For The Price

For the price, you can really only find busted used old cabs that only have local pickup available. This comes with two custom made 12" speakers wired to 8ohms total, mine measured in at 7.2ohms so it's a little louder. The interior of this cab have acoustic padding material on the sides and near the speakers, the grill is thick enough to prevent my knee from busting it in. The read more structure of the cab in general is good, probably 1/2" thick, good density wood. There are some supports that are only glued in place, but easy enough to drill a few holes and put in some screws if you care about that [at least it comes with supports inside!] and the back of the cab is split into 3 separate, removable pieces. I think it sounds best closed but my room is very good acoustically. I have the cab on top of a furniture dolly from Harbor Freight, that way I can roll it into my studio from my bedroom; no problem with vibrations or anything, don't need to secure it--sits just fine on the dolly and doesn't change the sound. I am indeed using this cab with the Katana head, and that's a whole other story, but even with the head set to 0.5w or 50w this cab sounds fantastic. Giving it the full 100w provides an impressive amount of sound. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants to expand, or need a cab on a budget; the speakers can be rewired for a different resistance, or they can be replaced although only a couple high end 12's really match these drivers. It costs about this price just for a basic, bare wooden single 12" cab and the speaker for it. I looked everywhere and thought of everything to get something cheap. This is great quality and its squeaky clean brand new. You seriously cannot beat the value for the price of this cab unless you are a pro running thousand dollar tube heads and need the best of everything. This cab is good enough for 99% of players. Sweetwater also got this heavy box to me within a week, very quick! I love this cabinet and it'll always stay somewhere in my mind for blowing me away with the quality I got for how much I paid. The alternative setup I was looking at was the Orange Crush 100w head and their 2x12 cab, but things get expensive with that brand once you get to the speaker cab, don't know why but it's around a hundred dollars more. I'm sure that one is great too, but it didn't out-value this one. If you want this, get it. If you're on the edge about getting it, just get it. You really won't be disappointed with this guy unless you get a defective unit. I love mine.

I'm no expert when it comes to guitar amps and cabs but, I heard enough to know when I'm hearing something good. I thought it was high time I plugged in my guitars to a real amp instead of di'ing for a change. I also bought another cab and a separate Boss Katana head so I could have stereo. Man, my studio is fill with a glorious wall of sound. The watt settings make it a breeze read more for this type of use in a small space 16x25' studio space. So Many different sound and effects that you'll never run out of ideas and appropriate ways to capture what you're looking for. Light enough to carry anywhere as well. I'm very impressed.

Awesome sound

Wow, lots of low end with balanced mids and highs. Make sure you adjust the global EQ for best results. Still breaking it in but this thing can get loud! I shopped other cabs and had to go used to find something close to this value but decided to buy this cab since it was designed to work with the Katana Head. Relatively light but doesn't sound like it. No regrets.

Excellent!!!!!
