Lanikai FM T
Working with Sweetwater was great . I like the ukulele a lot. I am glad I got a tenor and wish I had started out with one .
Nice first Uke
The fit and finish are very nice for a Uke in this price range. The action and intonation are also quite nice.
Beautiful sound and looks!
This tenor ukelele not only sounds amazing but is beautiful too! Wonderful sound projection! The included padded gig bag is not a cheap bag like is included with some other ukeleles. You cannot go wrong with this beauty!
FM-T Ukulele
This purchase was my second ukulele. I have a concert sized of another brand that my sister had hanging in her closet for years without playing. I'm new-ish to stringed instruments and she was kind enough to make me a deal on hers. She got a little folding green, I got a new voice. And I enjoyed it. But as with my guitar fetish, once I have a taste for one instrument, I need… read more more. So I did my research, read reviews, watched videos, and, not just a little bit influenced by the looks of it, I settled on the Lanikai FM-T. This is a fantastic instrument. Not being terribly familiar with ukes in general and knowing nothing about tenors, I don't know what I was expecting. But what I got was a wonderful voice. It's rich, it's smooth. It was set up well and it played well. The strings that came with it, the D'addario EJ88Ts, are as warm as I could have hoped for. Part of why I had never picked up a ukulele before now is that tinny sound you hear so often. But between the deeper voice of the tenor and the warmth of those strings, I'm happy to have bought the concert from my sister so that I could find my way to this. And the gig bag? Well-crafted, embroidered, and thickly padded. Also, and as always, Sweetwater's service is unmatched. They called when I placed my order. I was able to track it all the way through its travels, they contacted me to let me know it had arrived. Well-packaged with personal touches and service. Transactions like this one are why I'm a loyal Sweetwater patron.
FM-T,just great!
This was my second Lanikai order from Sweetwater, and I"m convinced they make the best ukes for the money and more.Beatutiful build, projects well and far exceeded my expectations for a tenor. So many ukes of this size and price range are mahogany, but the maple seems to articulate better and the tone is bright. Thanks to Tim B. for helping me with this order.
