Very sturdy
So far, so good! It's extremely study. The built in power supply holder under the device is nice and functional. The carrying bag is nice and functional as well. It is exactly as promised in the description!
Well made
Well made, plenty of real estate. Velcro is strong. Love the power supply clamp on the bottom, it made putting the board together a snap . Bag feels sturdy, no complaints.
Outstanding Pedalboard & Case
The case for this item is better than expected. It has the same feel as a higher-end Gator gig bag...big zipper and durable/think material. Definitely not just some "check the box" case. I got the large green one and I'd like to point out that the cut-outs match the white colored model. If you scroll through the pics you'll notice on the front/vertical side that the cut-outs… read more are different between white and the rest of the colors (black, orange, green). This is my first pedalboard and if this is your first as well, I'd just like to say to manage your expectations. There is how you plan on laying out your pedals and then there is what is physically allowed. You will have to work with (not against) inputs/outputs, power supplies, and how 6" cables will contort. Notice in the item pics they show a number of pedals (most of them Boss) with no cables or power cords. This is not coincidental. Individual results will most certainly vary, but I was able to fit 8 pedals of varying size (from a teeny Fairfield Circuitry Accountant to a huge 90's EHX Deluxe Memory Man). I also used zip-ties because I cannot stand velcro (I think its lazy and looks terrible). The many holes make zip ties work well. For power I used a 1Spot (highly recommended) and am forced to use factory wall-worts for the Memory Man and EHX Cathedral. I'm saying this not to brag about my pedals, but because power and more importantly compatibility WILL be an issue. Do some research about your pedals before just plugging into random non-factory power sources. For example, if it does not take a 9V battery it probably has a special power requirement. One added point that could save time and money. Hosa makes 2 kinds of 6" cables: one with a square head and another that is flat and coin-shaped. The coin-shaped head combined with the 1/4" post will not fit through this pedalboard's cut holes. Use the square-head model.
Nice board but…
This pedalboard is really well built. All of my pedals fit nicely. Only problems are that the power supply mounting bracket does not fit VooDoo Labs pedal power 4X4. I called Gator and the guy said that was the way it is and there is nothing he could suggest. I had to order a steel strap from Amazon. The other problem is that the holes for patch cables do not fit low profile cables.… read more These seem like obvious design flaws. They should definitely work on that. Other than that the pedalboard and case are very nice.
Gator Pedalboard Review
I visited Sweetwater today to acquire a pedalboard. After seeing how small and expensive pedal train can be I checked out the gator stuff. I love the look and feel of this board. I believe it will last for quite a long time. I love all of the holes and mounting bracket. The bag does feel good inside and comes with quite a bit of storage. I do feel like the zippers won't last very… read more long. I really wish this came with hook and loop material and not traditional velcro.
