Far from solderless!
First of all if you do not solder or care to learn then stay away from this.... because basically what this is....a pot that needs to be soldered in just like any other pot..... Then some day 10 years from now you may wish to change pickups...then you can install the new pup with out soldering....i wish I did my homework before I payed for this because i don't change pup like my… read more panties and will most likely never get to take advantage of the solderless aspects of this doohickey.
Liberator
I put a liberator in my Strat along with all new pickups and a 3-way toggle and new tone pots. The plug in aspect saved me tons of frustration with trying to solder like a pro! It's all pretty straight forward on how to wire in and out of it. Only thing is that it takes up a bit more room than a typical volume pot. I'd definitely stick with Liberator pots from now on!

I've found that Dimarzio pickups have weak wires that can be a nuisance to solder and these pots have saved me a lot of frustration if I need to put the pickups in (and as a matter of experience most Dimarzio pickups end up getting pulled out of instruments anyway).
Easy to install, Good but Huge Delay in volume.
the install was easy! it also allows me to swap pickups in a breeze. but after install and hooking guitar up to an amp i noticed a slight delay in the volume. I mean the volume wont come on until the pot is turned a quarter the way up. and if you turn the volume up really fast when your pegged out the volume will continue to rise until it reaches full volume which is about a second… read more or so of a delay. but if you turn the volume up very slowly everything works fine. Its not a huge issue for me but it might be for someone else.
