One bright little Moon...

This is the very first Ukulele that I purchased. I had watched a lot of review videos and manufacturer videos and the Luna brand seemed to stand out. This is a great sounding instrument. It has a very bright tone that is almost harp-like. You will definitely stand out in a gaggle of Ukes. However, that being said, if you want a more traditional, woody sound then this is not the read more Ukulele for you. It is very bright and can be overpowering. However, instruments are preferential and I like this for strumming. It really shines with strumming. For fingerpicking it is pretty good too. The action on the neck is low and easy on the fingers. I will note that the Soprano is VERY SMALL. I have teeny-tiny toddler-sized hands and I sometimes think this is a bit too small. If you want a bit more room for growth then I'd say start with a Concert or Tenor. The Soprano size makes certain chords a bit challenging. The only thing I do not like about Soprano size Ukulele's (in general) is that they don't automatically come with strap buttons. I realize that is not the purist way to experience a Soprano Uke, but it would make playability easier for beginners. Other than that it has a nice color and some good quality wood. It also comes with a very quality gig-bag* (*I probably could have saved on getting my hardshell case, because this gig bag is more than adequate). I recommend this Ukulele fully.
