Nice Martin!

This guitar brought back my love of acoustic music & is great for every style. Just love the Blues, Beatles, Dylan , Dead, Young, etc. and the action on the neck makes it a pleasure to play. It's light and the body is thin enough, to play comfortably while lying in bed, but projects like a dreadnaught. I highly recommend this guitar, it just feels right . Thanks Kevin Samuels, read more and everyone at Sweetwater !!!

Suprised me!

I turned 50 and I wanted to splurge on a dream guitar (Gibson J45, Martin D28, etc.). I went to 4 guitar shops and tried out every guitar each one had. I literally spent 3-4 hours in each place. I tried the same models in different stores to compare. I kept picking up the SC10e and it consistently had the sound I loved. I kept looking at it and I really wanted to hate it because read more of it's non traditional look. I kept thinking that if I wanted a really nice Martin, I want it to look like a classic Martin. But, I couldn't put it down and I kept comparing it to everything else, even the SC13e (which didn't sound as rich to me because of the finish). I kept going back to play it and compare it to others. I did this for 2 months. Multiple guitars had the same sound, but none were as comfortable and easy to play as this one. Not only that, it was the least expensive of them all. I was ready to spend the money. I really wanted to dislike this guitar. I ended up loving it and buying one.

I took a beginner guitar class in college and over the years never advanced, now retired I started playing again and decided that my old guitar I had purchased while going to school needed an up date so visited a few music stores to test them. When I played the Martin SC-10e and the sound from it I knew this would be the one. I had played some that were much higher in price and read more of different makers. Sweetwater was great to deal with and my sales engineer Will Becker was great in helping me with questions I had. This guitar is every thing that they say about it and more, just can't put it down once I opened the soft shell case and now playing 3 to 4 hrs daily, this 84 year old senior is making up for loss time!

Just Wow

I visited my local Martin Dealer last week and just by chance they had both a 13e Special Sunburst zircote and a 10e koa. This is an honest review and of course ymmv. First off both played the same and the best playing acoustics I ever laid my hands on. Tone wise, not much appreciable difference unplugged. What I loved on the 10e is the built in tuner which is incredibly accurate. read more Oddly, the 13e has no tuner? Both guitars need a slightly heavier string set and with that I'm sure the tones will be improved even more. The build quality is on par with all Martins. So my final thought is the appearance. I absolutely love satin finishes and the details on the 10e are simple and beautiful. Black tuners. ebony fretboard and black pickguard and binding along with a beautiful black and white rosette and simple white fret markers. For the $$ and the look, tone and playability I'm getting a 10e. The 13e Sunburst is beautiful too even more so when you see the actual guitar. I just can't justify the extra $$ and no tuner?

Exceeded expectations

Fantastic action all the way up the neck. Friends have remarked "it feels light I'm playing an electric." No sacrifice to the acoustic tone at all and sounds great plugged in. Yes it sounds different than my Martin dreadnaught but its a different shape so it should and they compliment each other nicely.
